This episode of Up Close features interviews on topics ranging the gamut from finance to fashion to theology.

Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel is most famous as the rabbi who marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in Selma, Alabama, but there is so much more to this towering Jewish figure. Author Shai Held talks about his new biography, Abraham Joshua Heschel: The Call of Transcendence, which takes a comprehensive, critical look at Heschel’s life and philosophy.

Religion meets the marketplace at Christian Fashion Week in Tampa, Florida. Buzzfeed senior editor Jessica Misener discusses her experiences there, including some of the Israel-themed items she encountered.

Finally, Wall Street veteran Simon Lack has some sobering news in his new book Bonds Are Not Forever: The Crisis Facing Fixed Income Investors. He talks about why safe investments of the past may no longer be so.
